Women are invited to the Dairy Girl Network (DGN) event scheduled at the All-American Dairy Show in Harrisburg, Penn., one of the largest all breed dairy shows in the U.S.A. Dairy girls will meet on Monday, Sept. 14 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm in the Cameron Street Foyer. The networking dinner is open to women involved with any part of dairy – whether as a calf feeder, dairy owner, marketing or sales consultant servicing dairy farms or cheese producers, veterinarian, researchers, etc. If there is a dairy cow involved in what she does, she’s invited.
The Dairy Girl Network strives to connect dairywomen with one another as a source of support and inspiration. Women attending the All-American Dairy Show from Pennsylvania and across the nation are encouraged to attend. It will also be a chance to learn more about the programming and opportunities being developed by the fast-growing Dairy Girl Network.
“We are committed to improving the dairy industry and fostering open communication, “ said Tami Smith, representing event sponsor, Neogen. “This event will be an excellent opportunity for all women in the dairy industry to talk openly and meet others from across the country who share a common interest.” Previous Dairy Girl Networking events have been held at World Dairy Expo, Western Dairy Management Conference and Central Plains Dairy Expo. The gatherings proved deep success as women walked away inspired to get more involved. Additional events are continually added to the calendar. Pre-registration is encouraged at http://www.DairyGirlNetwork.com. Walk-ins are welcome at the event as well. Ticket price is $20.00 per person.
At the conclusion of the DGN Networking Social, attendees are invited to the All-American Dairy Show “Farmer Appreciation Banquet” at 7:00 pm in the Pennsylvania Preferred Banquet Hall. The networking event open to women dairy farmers and industry partners is sponsored by Neogen and supported by founding sponsors, DairyBusiness Communications, Diamond V, ImmuCell, Elanco and Land O’Lakes.
