The Dairy Girl Network (DGN) is preparing to host a networking event, annual meeting and news conference at World Dairy Expo. The fast growing organization is also a participating exhibitor among the trade show.
Women are invited to the DGN networking event scheduled on Wed., Sept., 30 at Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center in Madison, Wis. from 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. The hors d’oeuvres dinner buffet will be served 6 p.m. -‐ 8 p.m. as dairywomen connect through the evening and inspire new ideas to achieve goals.
The networking dinner is open to women involved with any part of dairy – whether as a calf feeder, dairy owner, marketing or sales consultant servicing dairy farms or cheese producers, veterinarian, researchers, etc. If there is a dairy cow involved in what she does, she’s invited. Attendees will learn more about programs and opportunities being developed by the fast-‐growing Dairy Girl Network.
“It has been a momentous year for the Dairy Girl Network, “stated Laura Daniels, founder of DGN. “We have truly moved the group nationwide and it’s exciting to celebrate together at World Dairy Expo, where DGN began. Our mission of connecting dairywomen across the nation becomes clear every day. I am proud of this network we’ve developed and anxious to see what we can accomplish together in the future.”
The vision of the Dairy Girl Network supports all women in dairy by enhancing lives and creating opportunities. Previous DGN networking events were held at the Western Dairy Management Conference, Central Plains Dairy Expo, All-‐American Dairy Show and World Dairy Expo. The gatherings proved deep success as women walked away inspired to get more involved. Additional events are being considered for 2016.
