As Dairy Girl Network continues to grow we also need to grow our team of leaders. If you know of a talented dairywoman who has the energy to help move our great organization forward, please nominate her for a Dairy Girl Network Board of Director position. The nomination form is available here.

The nomination period is open now and will end July 31st. There are no self-nominations, so if you are interested please reach out to a fellow dairywoman and ask her to nominate you. Nominees must be an official member of the Dairy Girl Network. If not, be sure they sign up by selecting Join on the top banner of this site.

The Dairy Girl Network Board is made up of both dairy producers and industry representatives. At this time we will be filling one empty industry professional seat, we plan to complete the process in time for these new member to join us at our annual board meeting held during World Dairy Expo in October. To be eligible, nominees should be involved in the dairy industry through their industry position and career.

The field of nominees will be held confidential and will be considered by a sub-committee of the Dairy Girl Network board. After they have narrowed the field there will be a questionnaire or interview conducted by the same committee. They will then recommend top candidates to the full board who upon approval will appoint the new board member.

Time commitment is attending one conference call per month and one to two face to face meetings, one of which will be held at World Dairy Expo. Each board member is also asked to serve on a planning committee for a program area, for example: Connect networking events, Enhance webinars and educational programs, Inspire mentoring program or another area of programming. We pride ourselves on being a virtual organization and most work is done through conference calls and email.

We can’t wait to have an additional woman join this great team!
