DGN is seeking nominations for a Producer to join the Board of Directors!
As Dairy Girl Network continues to grow we also need to grow our team of leaders. If you know of a talented dairywoman who has the energy to help move our great organization forward, please nominate her for a Dairy Girl Network Board of Director position. The nomination form is available here.
The nomination period is open now and will end October 27th. Self-nominations are accepted. Nominees must be an official member of the Dairy Girl Network. If not, be sure you/they sign up here.
The Dairy Girl Network Board is made up of both dairy producers and industry representatives. At this time we will be filling one empty producer seat. To be eligible, nominees should be actively farming.
The field of nominees will be held confidential and will be considered by a sub-committee of the Dairy Girl Network board. After they have narrowed the field there will be a questionnaire or interview conducted by the same committee. They will then recommend top candidates to the full board who upon approval will appoint the new board member.
If there are any questions please reach out to Laura Daniels, or any member of the Dairy Girl Network Board: Kristy Pagel, Carrie Mess, Michelle Philibeck, LuAnn Troxel, Tami Smith, Mary Knigge, Michelle Schilter, Connie Kuber, Corinne Banker and Bec Shaw, or our DGN staff: Brenda Gilbertson, Renee Norman-Kenny or Amanda Borkowski. All contact information for these dairywomen can be found here.
Time commitment is attending one conference call per month and one to two face to face meetings, one of which will be held at World Dairy Expo. Each board member is also asked to serve on a planning committee for a program area, for example: Connect networking events, Enhance webinars and educational programs, Inspire mentoring program or another area of programming. We pride ourselves on being a virtual organization and most work is done through conference calls and email.
We can’t wait to have an additional woman join this great team!
Please nominate a fellow dairywomen by October 27th HERE.
