| 2020 was an unprecedented year for all of us, navigating our way through all the uncertainty and change. DGN realized early in our development that if we would reach our members “where they are,” we must be virtual. We need to be with them (with you) in the barn, in the car on the way to a dentist appointment, at your kitchen table, and in your ear or on your phone as you have five minutes waiting for the vet to arrive. We were able to be nimble in the COVID lock down because we were already flexible in our outreach. Not only were we ready with the platforms of webinars, Zoom meetings, long-distance mentoring, robust online discussions and pivoting to a virtual conference, we were also ready with content our members needed. We want to thank you for your support and involvement in Dairy Girl Network. This community of over 5,000 highly engaged dairywomen participated in our third biennial Forward TogetHER National Conference, had thousands of discussions within our online community, participated in 15 webinars, continued important conversations about mental health through our #StrongerTogetHER campaign, went to a few Connect networking events in the spring, took advantage of our COVID-19 Resource Hub, learned a new language with our Spanish on La Granja courses and welcomed three new members to our Board of Directors.
