Stories to Celebrate the International Year of the Woman Farmer. A Dairy Girl Network Storytelling Project 

Taking Root and Growing Legacy is a storytelling series created by Dairy Girl Network to honor the International Year of the Woman Farmer through authentic, heartfelt interviews with dairywomen across the United States. This meaningful project is a perfect fit for DGN’s mission and voice. It invites reflection, emotion, and story while staying grounded in legacy, leadership, and the experience of dairywomen. The flow of each interview is intentional: it begins with personal history, expands into leadership and community, and ends with legacy and inspiration for others. At the core of this series are the powerful stories of real women whose lives reflect both the heart and the hard work of dairy farming – their grit, generosity, and commitment on family, farm, and community.
