DGN is Looking for Press Corps Members!

We want YOU to join the DGN Press Corps!

What is the Press Corps?
The DGN Press Corps is a group of members selected to cover DGN events, highlight dairywomen, report on programs, develop articles, and much more! The goal of the Press Corps is to involve members creatively and utilize their talents to share events, news, and information with the membership. 

Why Apply?
Becoming a member of the DGN Press Corps will not only get you more involved in the organization, but you will have the chance to showcase and polish your writing and reporting skills, have your work published, build your portfolio, get the inside scoop on DGN programs and events and most importantly present important information to fellow dairywomen. Some groups of the Press Corps will even receive discounts on Forward TogetHER registration. The ideal Press Corps member will be energized, organized and excited to help strengthen communications with the Dairy Girl Network.

Dairy Girl Network Enhance offers resources without leaving the farm. This webinar mini-series in honor of May Mental Health Awareness Month is brought to you by the DGN initiative #StrongerTogetHER.

This webinar will be presented by Josie M. Rudolphi, PhD., Assistant professor and Extension Specialist, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, on Friday, May 20th, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. CST

Webinar Summary: It is estimated that 1 in 5 adults experience mental illnesses, and many more experience intermittent mental health crises. However, in rural and agricultural communities, professional health care is not always available or accessible. Josie Rudolphi will describe resources and programs to prepare non-mental health professionals to be assistive when their friends and family members are in crisis.

Dairy Girl Network is hosting the fourth National Conference, Forward TogetHER, at Mystic Lake Center this November 1st to the 3rd. This event brings together dairywomen, both producers and industry members, to learn, grow and recharge their batteries. Our conference focuses on personal and professional development to help you learn, lead and succeed in your daily dairywomen journey on farm, at home and throughout our industry.

Our hybrid Forward TogetHER conference delivers over 25 dynamic speakers, breakout sessions and thought provoking panel discussions. The topics for the sessions will range from sustainability, dairy financials, people management, consumer trends, milk markets, technical herd topics, inclusion and more! Webinar Summary: Mycotoxins are fungi that are frequently found in various feedstuffs. Although there is little we can do to prevent them, we often suffer from the consequences of their presence. This talk will highlight the various mycotoxins that are commonly found in feedstuffs and how they can work synergistically to increase the health effects that they cause. Dr. Carie will be highlighting how to identify the presence of mycotoxins, how to evaluate various health parameters to suspect mycotoxin involvement and steps producers can take to mitigate their effects.

Join other dairywomen for a quick recharge to talk about your lives involving dairy farming. The event is for all women involved with any part of dairy – whether as a calf feeder, dairy owner, marketing or sales consultant servicing dairy farms or cheese producers, veterinarian, researchers, etc. If there is a dairy cow involved in what you do, you’re invited!

Cost is $20.00 which includes lunch and a DGN special gift.

Dairy Girl Network and Sealpro Silage Barrier Films is excited to provide a space that families with small children may rest and recharge in a quiet atmosphere during the hustle and bustle of World Ag Expo. An area for nursing mothers will also available. This space offers comfortable seating, a changing station, toys and snacks to recharge. The Family Lounge will be open all day, every day during World Ag Expo. Join us in booth DS 105/106 at the International Agri-Center in Tulare, CA.
